Terms of Service
Last updated: August 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of do things (the “Service”), operated by do things (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. The Service
do things is a team task and project workspace. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We may also suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that affect you.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for the activity of members you invite to your workspace. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- reverse engineer or resell the Service except as permitted by law;
- use the Service to store or transmit unlawful, infringing, or abusive content.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
Paid plans are billed on a recurring subscription through our payment processor, Stripe. New workspaces begin with a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the base plan is billed monthly and includes two seats; additional seats are billed per seat, per month, and are prorated when members are added or removed mid-cycle. Current pricing is shown on our pricing page and during checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your workspace billing settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If a payment fails, we may suspend access after a grace period.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you and your team submit to the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to your Customer Data. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (data hosting), Resend (email), and optional GitHub integration. Your use of those integrations may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us and protected by law. These Terms grant you no rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in the British Virgin Islands will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
